This page tells you what information we want to collect, and along with any pictures you want to send, how to email it into us for inclusion.

This is a type of location, usually linked to other location guides or external information or both. Usually a link in the first column are linked within our site to other location pages we have. In some cases we don’t have links just information, and in particular with longer lists of locations where we have defined a type and location, so are at this point identifying the location and often the grid reference or a map link. As featured topics (themed weeks) are covered these will usually include a list page linking you to all the locations mentioned.

General description

You can start the page with a general description of what the list is about.

Photographs

It is not necessary to include a picture on a list page, however we have included one photo in some of our lists to illustrate the topic we are covering, such as in Where to Photograph Bluebells etc. If you want to include a photo then please only send in 1 and it should be submitted as jpg 640 x 480 at 72dpi images (this is good enough quality for website use).

The Grid

The List Grid is different from our other location pages in that the headings are across the top and the items get listed underneath. When you submit it you can do so either as a table within your email or as a list and we will format it.

How and where to send your submissions

The bolded item below, for example Featured Guides, gives you a definition of what goes within the grid, while the html and zip versions give you a copy of an empty template page, with the grid in.

1. Download the Listings Template (html and zip version)

2. Complete the page and produce any photos you want to include, 1 location per page.

3. 1 location per email - with photos as attachments.

4. Use the normal email address on the Contact Us page but put Location Submission in the topic line. Any difficulty then either call or email us.
