This is a list of lighthouses in the Channel Islands that have been selected because they are still in use, are historically interesting or of interest to photographers. This list will grow over time as others are identified. One definition of a lighthouse, that we are not sticking totally to, is that a lighthouse is a building that a person can get into now or historically, that contains a light for shipping. We don't intend to add every single light. Where the name in the first column is hyperlinked, this links to one of our Location pages with more information and over time more of these will be added, we will be delighted if some of you would like to also produce location pages. The yellow highlighted background merely signifies that it is open to visitors. Star rating is just a quick guide to which are perhaps the most interesting. Marinas is a website that contains many great aerial images of coastal features, including lighthouses and lights, and we have, where we can identify, added a direct link into their website where you can see several images of the lighthouse, and a map identifying its position. Other images can often be found in Geograph. Codes: TH = Trinity House, Wiki = Wikipedia Marinas = marinas.com
