Aerial Photo Marinas.com (more images available) This is near the southern tip of mainland Scotland. There has been a lighthouse on Crammag Head since 1913. The image above was the original lighthouse, which stood 26 metres high, this has now been replaced by a new lighthouse which became operational in December 2009. The current light tower is 7 metres high and the light has an elevation of 35 metres and a range of 18 miles. Apparently everything used in its construction was brought in by ship and helicopter, with all the waste and leftover material being removed in the same way. It's position is about 5 miles north west of the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse.
