Article The London PassWhen visiting London you can buy a 'London Pass' and visit over 55 attractions for Free or at discounted rates. Including special offers at attractions, discounts on shopping, films and entertainment such as theatre tickets and dining offers at restaurants and cafe's. It is a 'smart card' like a credit card with a computer chip inside and once purchased you don't have to pay to get into any of the participating attractions, simply show it to the attendant and they will swipe it. It does not become active until you use it for the first time, once activated it is then valid for the duration of the period you have purchased, and to get a full day's use out of it start at the beginning of the day, not at the end otherwise you will use up a day's use as it counts the day from when you start using it, not a 24 hour period.
