This lighthouse is located at the east side of
the narrow entrance to Larne Lough.
This is the harbour control tower for Larne, a
major port. The tower replaced a traditional light station that formerly carried
a navigational light. The light became redundant when a directional light was
installed in the
Chaine Tower
Lighthouse
on the other side of the harbour entrance. The CIL state it was in operation
until 1994.

Larne to several ports in Scotland.
