At first site, not the most appealing lighthouse, but it is endangered and the last of its type to still be around, but maybe not for much longer.

With access this provides a good viewpoint on the Bristol Channel.

Approval to build this was given in September 1930 and it was up and running by March 1931, built by Chance Brothers of Smethwick. There are current plans to replace the current lighthouse, although changes and additions have been added to it in recent years.

This light is probably the only surviving example of its type. Endangered: poorly maintained, the tower is rusting and there is a danger it will be scrapped and replaced. The question always comes back to what should we preserve.
